Competent person
for the UVV inspection of presses
in accordance with DGUV I 209-030, DGUV R 100-500 Chapter 2.3

Perform UVV inspections as a qualified person in the field of hydraulic presses yourself – thanks to a seminar in accordance with TRBS 1203.
Do you operate hydraulic presses, punches, etc.? Then you already know that, in addition to the DGUV V 3 inspection, these machines must be checked for safe operation at least once a year to ensure they remain in safe working order. As the operator, you are responsible for arranging this regular inspection yourself. The check serves the safety of your employees and the preservation of your machinery. Of course, you can commission an external "qualified person" to perform such a press inspection. But why not save time and money by having one of your employees carry out the UVV inspection of hydraulic presses yourself? We make it possible: Register for our seminar today!
You will acquire knowledge of the applicable legal regulations such as the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG), the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), Directive 2006/42/EC (MRL 2006/42/EC), DGUV Regulation I 209-030, and DGUV Regulation R 100-500, Chapter 2.3.
Which work equipment in the field of hydraulic presses must undergo a UVV inspection?
The following machines and hydraulic presses, among others, must undergo a UVV inspection:
Presses in metal processing
Hydraulic presses for processing ceramic materials, wood, chipboard and leather
Balers, paper presses (also used in agricultural technology)
hydraulic presses in the shoe, textile and clothing industries
Waste and scrap compactors
Machines for the production of concrete stones, slabs and pipes
Straightening presses
Punching
As you can see, training a qualified person for the UVV (accident prevention regulations) inspection of hydraulic presses is worthwhile for a wide variety of industries. Take advantage of our offer!

Is a safety inspection (UVV) mandatory for hydraulic presses?
Yes, the UVV (accident prevention regulations) inspection is legally required and must be carried out by a qualified person – only then can hydraulic presses be (re)used. This is partly because working with technical equipment and hydraulics poses many hazards for employees. Therefore, the presses must be set up and secured in such a way that injuries from closing tools, the movement of press parts, or the descending ram are prevented. If you want to carry out the press inspection according to UVV regulations to ensure safety and health in the workplace, we recommend that you participate in our corresponding seminar.
The curriculum for the UVV inspector training includes, among other things, the currently applicable occupational safety regulations, the current Industrial Safety Ordinance, various DGUV regulations and technical rules for operational safety (TRBS) as well as the requirements from the Machinery Directive.
Requirements:
In order to be able to carry out the UVV inspection on hydraulic presses or to become a qualified person for presses, you need a completed technical vocational training or other technical qualification that enables you to inspect and assess the work equipment, as well as demonstrable practical experience with the work equipment (TRBS1203).
