Why is a safety inspection (UVV) necessary for continuous conveyors?
Continuous conveyors are considered work equipment under the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). Therefore, according to Section 3 of the BetrSichV, the employer must conduct (or have conducted) a risk assessment for conveyor systems and, according to Section 10, have this assessment reviewed by a qualified person (accident prevention inspector) at the determined intervals. According to Section 11, the review must be documented.

From screw conveyors and telescopic conveyors to roller conveyors – all these conveying systems must be inspected annually according to the regulations of the insurance providers as part of the accident prevention inspection (UVV). A qualified person with relevant work experience, appropriate vocational training, and the expertise to assess the safe condition of the equipment can be appointed to carry out the inspection.
We reliably train you and your employees to become qualified persons for the UVV (accident prevention regulations) inspection of continuous conveyors, in accordance with the requirements of the employers' liability insurance associations. This training provides you with the necessary expertise as a basis for appointment. You will learn how to implement the underlying regulations in a legally compliant manner and to conduct the UVV inspection of continuous conveyors independently and professionally, as stipulated in Section 14 of the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health. Furthermore, you will receive practical guidance on the organization, procedures, and documentation of UVV inspections, as well as our UVV Inspector Starter Kit, enabling you to begin immediately after the course.
Which work equipment falls under the module "UVV inspector for continuous conveyors"?
Continuous conveyors transport both bulk and unit loads continuously and include mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic conveying systems. These include, among others:
Belt or conveyor belt
Chain conveyor
Roller conveyor
Bucket elevators
screw conveyor
Telescopic conveyor
Conveyors that use air as an energy carrier (pneumatic conveyors)
vibrating conveyor
Gravity conveyors such as downpipes, chutes, roller and ball tracks
Conveyor belt
Hydraulic conveyors
Requirements:
Completed technical vocational training or other technical qualification that enables the participant to inspect and assess the work equipment, as well as demonstrable practical experience with the work equipment (TRBS1203).

As preparation for the training day, our participants complete an e-learning module for each booked piece of equipment. This module covers the fundamentals of expertise and provides an introduction to the relevant regulations. This ensures that participants are optimally prepared for the training day and can thus use their time effectively for in-depth study of up to three pieces of equipment.
