UVV Prüfung Kompressor Druckbehälter

The safety of pressure vessels and compressors is of paramount importance in every industry that uses this equipment. The German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) establishes strict guidelines for the safe operation and regular inspection of these systems. To meet these requirements and ensure workplace safety, it is essential that inspections are carried out by qualified and specially trained personnel. This is precisely where the LTS Academy course comes in: We qualify you as a competent person in accordance with TRBS 1203 for pressure vessels and compressors.

Testing of compressors with pressure vessels

The inspection of compressors, like all work equipment, is regulated by the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (Betriebssicherheitsverordnung). According to Section 3, the employer must determine and specify the type and scope of required inspections of work equipment, as well as the intervals for recurring inspections, within the framework of a risk assessment. The intervals for recurring inspections must be set so that the work equipment can be used safely until the next scheduled inspection. Information in the manufacturer's operating instructions must also be taken into account. For certain types of work equipment, inspection intervals are also specified in government regulations and accident prevention regulations.

The following must be observed when testing compressors/pressure vessels:

Permissible operating pressure x volume < 1000 bar xl

-> Examination by a person qualified to perform examinations

Permissible operating pressure x capacity > 1000 bar xl

-> Inspection only by an approved inspection body

The maximum permissible inspection intervals are:

External inspection every 2 years

Internal review every 5 years

Strength test every 10 years
