Become a qualified person for the inspection of ladders and steps

Save time and money by becoming a qualified person for the UVV inspection of ladders and stepladders yourself – and gain comprehensive safety with training from the LTS Academy! Our qualified trainers will provide you and your employees with thorough and easy-to-understand training on all the regulations and rules of the employers' liability insurance association regarding accident prevention that a qualified person for the inspection of ladders and stepladders must know.

Why is a safety inspection (UVV) necessary for ladders?

Falls from ladders and scaffolding account for more than half of all fall accidents in the construction industry and related services. Accordingly, commercially used ladders and stepladders must be inspected regularly, but at least once a year, by a qualified person to ensure they are in safe working condition (§ 57 of DGUV Regulation 1). The German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) obligates employers to determine and carry out, or have carried out, these inspections as part of a risk assessment.

-> This UVV inspection must be carried out by a qualified person for the inspection of ladders and steps (UVV inspector) and documented in a legally compliant manner.

We reliably train you or your employees to become UVV inspectors for ladders and steps in accordance with the requirements of the employers' liability insurance associations, so that after the course you are able to independently carry out the UVV inspection of ladders and steps as a qualified person both internally and externally (on behalf of the employer).
