Competent person
for UVV testing of liquid jet lamps
according to DGUV Rule 100-500 Chapter 2.36

As a qualified person, liquid jet pumps are fit for regular UVV testing.
As a qualified person for liquid jet equipment, you are officially authorized to regularly and professionally inspect the equipment grouped in this category to ensure its proper and safe operation. The relevant requirements and regulations are generally defined in section 100-500 2.36 of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), which addresses working with high-pressure cleaners and liquid jet equipment with a permissible operating pressure of 25 bar or more, or where the pressure product is equal to or greater than 10,000. After training by the LTS Academy, you or an employee will be able to easily perform the liquid jet equipment inspections yourself as a qualified person.
Which liquid jet pumps are you authorized to inspect as a qualified person?
The DGUV publication mentioned above details which types of liquid jet equipment you are authorized to inspect after completing our training. This includes, in particular, high-pressure cleaners with or without a steam stage, water jet and pressure sprayers – for example, for plant protection products or disinfectants – but also, for instance, two-component coating systems or water jet cutting systems. If the sprayed liquid is not water but corrosive or toxic substances, or if its temperature exceeds 50 °C, then even devices with operating pressures below 25 bar and a pressure product below 10,000 are subject to mandatory inspection. However, the accident potential of all these devices operating at very high pressure is so significant that a qualified person should ensure safe operation of liquid jet equipment at all times through regularly repeated UVV (accident prevention regulations) inspections.

What is not considered a high-pressure cleaner or liquid jet according to DGUV (German Social Accident Insurance).
Many devices and systems spray materials with a wide variety of functions under high pressure – but it's important to note that not all of these are liquid jet devices that you, as a qualified person after training at the LTS Academy, are authorized to inspect. Examples include:
Blasting equipment using granular abrasives
fire extinguishing equipment
Burners for liquid fuels
Filling and dosing equipment
Bitumen, tar, concrete and mortar spraying machines
as well as other work equipment, about which we would be happy to provide you with detailed information if you are interested.
